An Honest Review of the Margaritaville Ride Behind Grill

Whether you’re on the road and you like to have the best of both worlds while you are camping or you need a robust grill that feels like you are at home while tailgating, the Margarittaville G1000 ride behind grill is one of the best options you can get. In this Margaritaville grill review, we’ll look at some of the things that make this the best tailgate grill around!

The Margaritaville combines the best of convenience and power and sacrifices very little. To start off with, this grill is a hitch mounted grill that rides behind the vehicle while travelling. This is accomplished using a sturdy frame that locks in place for travel but then unfolds when it comes time to use it. The fact that it’s a “ride behind” grill gives it the ability to be much larger than your average tailgating grill. This comes in especially handy when you have a large crowd to feed. But size isn’t everything. The grill also comes with two burners for a combined 20,000 BTUs! This is like grilling on your home gas grill. The unit is designed to incorporate all of the modern convenience of portable grilling. Things such as collapsible side tables for plates, buns and condiments, a spice shelf that lets you store all of the special seasonings you can’t do without, and utensil hooks so that everything is within reach. Also, because it’s a gas grill, you don’t have to mess around getting it started; simply hook up the gas (it takes a 1lb propane cylinder) and hit ignition switch and you are good to go.

Now for the drawbacks. While this is a well designed unit, there are just a couple of flaws that make it not quite perfect. The biggest thing is the trailer hitch. It fits into any 2″ hitch okay, but the lock that comes with it is cheap and after you make an investment in a grill, you don’t want some yahoo taking off with it.
