Are you thinking about adding some flare to your outdoor areas around your house? If the answer to this question is yes then you have come to the right place, because today we are going to be talking about a couple of different types of outdoor lighting. The types that we are going to be talking about are outdoor sconces, outdoor chandeliers, and string lights. We will be going over the pros and cons of each light fixture as well as the best places to place them.

Our first light fixture the outdoor sconce is probably the most popular outdoor light that you will find around most modern homes. Sconces are great at adding mood to a situation with their indirect lighting. There is however some cons such as they require a few to light up a large central area, this can start to add up in the cost department. The best places to install outdoor sconces are in path ways, walk ways, doorways and entry ways.

The next light fixture that we are going to discuss is the chandelier more specifically outdoor chandeliers. These are somewhat new creations that have put a new twist on an old favorite. The pros to owning one of these are that you no longer have to worry about lighting up your outdoor patio or gazebo. The number one con to installing an outdoor chandelier is the price as it is often pretty steep for a quality one. Some of the best places to put an outdoor chandelier include under deck patios, gazebos and under awnings and canopies.

The last outdoor light fixture that we are going to be talking about is the all time favorite string lights. If you have ever put Christmas lights on a Christmas tree then you know what string lights are. Of course these are a different type of string light but this is the basic principal. The best thing about string lights is that they are cheap and able to be placed almost anywhere. The cons of string lights are that they are most times cheap and tend to break easy, also they short out easy. The best places for string lights are really anywhere that you want to put them as they are very versatile.
