Fake Grass For Ornamental Gardens

An ornamental grass garden is a different type of garden that many find very pleasing to the eye. It can be considered a somewhat minimalist garden with grass planted strategically throughout the garden’s layout. The tufts of grass don’t necessarily have to dominate the entire area for them to make an eye-catching feature.

This same type of garden can be created indoors in office building foyers or in conservatories where a feature garden creates a warm welcome. The problem with attempting to create this type of garden is that the conditions into which it is installed may not be conducive to growing healthy plants. The answer is to use fake grass to stock the garden.

Mixed with landscape features such as fallen logs, branches, pebbles or bark, fake ornamental grass is available that looks so similar to real grass that it would be impossible to tell the difference. There are a number of different places that stock real looking fake grass in a range of different heights, colors and clumps. They replicate a variety of ornamental grasses that are popularly used for outdoor grass gardens.

Fake ornamental grass may also be preferred if you don’t want to have to worry about your garden spreading beyond control. Ornamental grass will run to seed throughout the year and in most cases those seeds are quite fine. They will be blown with the wind and if you are not careful you could find that your carefully planned ornamental grass garden has become an out of control meadow. Fake grass gives you the appearance of a well organised garden and you will never have to worry about that appearance drastically changing.

Some people will consider the idea of planting synthetic grass in a formal garden as heresy but the circumstances for each person is different. Some people may not be capable of maintaining a garden and some gardens may not be capable of growing healthy plants. Fake ornamental grass makes it possible for both circumstances to be rectified with a reasonable approximation.
