Gazebo Canopies: Quality Features

There are a variety of Gazebos with different sizes and prices. Different types of gazebos include wood, polyester, outdoor shade, iron, outdoor patio, pergola, square, garden, hexagon and tents for different kinds of occasions including weddings and casual parties. The largest size is 10×10 and is the most popular. Other sizes include 8×8 and 22×16 with ranges in between. The price of a gazebo can be fairly inexpensive ranging from $25 to even more than $799 for more expensive ones. The canopy is very important and provides shade protection from the sun which is its main purpose. Unfortunately, gazebo canopies have a short life span and deteriorate faster than gazebos. The structure of a gazebo may last for years but canopies rarely last longer than two years before breaking down. However, many businesses offer alternate canopies with advanced specifications to provide better protection.

The typical gazebo canopy consists of poor quality fabric. Polyester is a poor fabric used to manufacture gazebos to make them cheaper. Polyvinyl is another type of low-grade fabric that will not provide great quality. Such materials do not shield against sun damage, UV rays, and intense weather. Those conditions along with poor drainage cause canopies to stretch and inevitably become useless. If gazebos last longer, then new canopies may be desired with better qualities. A variety of companies sell better canopies consisting of UV protection, drainage, sun protection, and material assembly. Costs for alternate canopies vary from $100 to $200 and higher. Gazebos range from $25 to $799 so in some instances, it may be less expensive to buy one with better quality. The canopies from expensive gazebos should be researched to see if they meet better specifications than inexpensive factory ones. Since gazebo frames are sturdy, safe, and durable, purchasing a replacement canopy may be a wise decision.

Many manufactures produce gazebo canopies that can be replaced with damaged ones. Various retail stores like Kmart, Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Sears have canopies in stock. Retailers may order canopies with instructions for specific gazebos. Canopies with a long life span should consist of high quality fabric. However, it is very important that such canopies have fabric with advanced denier with coating intended to shield UV rays. Other qualities that canopies should have are rust-free grommets and proper drainage capabilities. Garden Winds is an online company that is known for selling the biggest assortment of replacements at favorable prices. This company replaces gazebo canopies from a variety of major retailers.
