Ideas For Using Portable Gas Grills

A portable gas grill may not, at first, seem like a product that would serve many purposes in your life. Perhaps you own a full size grill already, and doubt there’s much you need a tiny little grill for. Or perhaps you don’t own a grill and are perfectly happy with the meals you make for yourself and your family. Or perhaps you have a portable charcoal grill and don’t see the need for a gas version.

No matter what you’re grilling situation, if you don’t own a portable gas grill, it really is something you should look into. Perhaps not everyone, but most people probably have some great dream scenarios for situations and occasions that would be the perfect setting for the use of a portable gas grill – and they may not even know it!

Here’s our top four list of ways to use (and reasons to invest in) a portable gas grill:

  • Camping. Because the propane tanks used for portable gas grills are much smaller than their full-size counterparts, these are incredibly portable. Since the fuel is contained, you avoid some of the safety hazards of cooking with fire while you camp, plus it doesn’t take long at all to get the heat up to temperature and ready to cook.
  • Picnics. Like camping, only cleaner. A portable gas grill means you can have fresh grilled picnic fare almost anywhere (where it’s allowed, of course). Simple and portable, many come with easy covers and carrying cases, so you can carry your grill in one hand and your picnic basket in the other.
  • Tailgating. Certainly, this aspect of competitive sports isn’t for everyone. But if you enjoy a good tailgate meal before the big game, a portable gas grill is a great way to do it. Sure, some people transport larger grills to the parking lot, but a portable gas grill makes it much easier to set up, cook, and take down in time for the opening play.
  • At home. Whether it’s lack of space or lack of money that’s keeping you from purchasing a full size grill, a portable gas grill solves both problems. They’re perfect for apartment dwelling, and also work fine if you only grill on occasion and want to save your patio space for other things. Either way, a portable gas grill opens up your culinary possibilities without adding burden in other areas.
