Leaf Vacuum – A Must Have Helper

Leaf Vacuum – A Time Saving Device
Raking leaves is a drudgery only the hardiest and braviest individuals enjoy. Raking takes a strong back and limber muscles; or at least three days of aches and pains will keep you sidelined. There is an easier way: a leaf vacuum. These little workhorses will do in an hour what might take half a day to do with a regular rake. And that’s assuming the yard is at least three-quarters of an acre.

Vacuum, Don’t Rake Leaves and Debris
A leaf vacuum can tackle the job of gathering leaves like a champ. It also serves as a great way to gather grass clippings from a freshly mowed lawn. The beauty of using a leaf vacuum is that it takes away the onerous task of bagging the collection of leaves and debris. Bagging the heavy volume of leaves, particularly in autumn when there is apt to be the most ground coverage of fallen leaves, may be as time-consuming as the job of raking.

Leaf Vacuum – Choose Your Weapon
In the war against massive deposits of leaves, small twigs, acorns and other accumulations, a leaf vacuum is the best weapon. There are different types to choose from. A leaf vacuum may have an attachment for a bag or a hose that may be attached to a small drum. The drum is lined with a sturdy lawn and leaf bag. The leaves and debris flow through the attached hose and into the drum. After that, it’s just a simple matter of removing the bag from the drum, tying it off and the job of raking and bagging is complete. Just replace the bag and you can start the process all over again. When you just want to collect the remains of a day of puttering about the garden, a leaf vacuum with a bag attached can scoop up clippings from shrubs and trees easily.

What To Look For When Purchasing A Leaf Vacuum
Leaf vacuums are sold in most hardware and garden supply stores. Before purchasing, assess how much use and volume the leaf vacuum will receive.
