Patio Furniture Ideas

Summer isn’t too far away, and that brings fond thoughts of dinners outdoors, parties and BBQ’s. Is your patio ready for the extra workouts? You’ll want nice patio furniture to show off for your first get-together of the season. Dragging folding chairs outside just won’t do when you plan parties outdoors. Wicker furniture will give you lots of seating outdoors for those extra guests, and it does it with reasonable prices, too. Summer is too precious to spend indoors, especially if you live in an area with bitterly cold winters.

High quality wicker outdoor furniture begins with the best wicker strands used in construction. Cheaper wicker is sometimes made with PVC, which is bad for the environment, and it won’t last as long, either. Outdoor resin is recyclable, so that makes it very environmentally sound. Wicker furniture made on an aluminum frame with PE will last for many years, so this is a good pick for your budget, too. Wicker furniture is also synonymous with Rattan, to the point where not many people know the difference! Rattan outdoor furniture can be made in other styles than wicker though, with wicker actually just being a method of weaving together strands of a substance.

You also need to focus on your furniture dimensions when you’re dining outdoors. Cheaper wicker sets may cut down on size to cut down on costs. This means that their “three-seat” couch will only hold two larger adults. Buy three-seaters that will seat three people. Check the materials and dimensions before you buy.

Summer can be hard on cushions, too, fading them and making their active life shorter. Select outdoor furniture with cushions made from materials that are meant to be used outdoors. The best outdoor fabrics will last for years outside, so select fabrics that will resist mold and fading. The best quality wicker outdoor chairs will also remain comfortable for years, and won’t leave you hanging when extra guests show up. Always be ready for bigger parties than you planned, with extra chairs and tables made from wicker.
