When you buy a home, there is always a bit of home improvement that you want to do to it. It is best to do the things you can do on your own first, because this will save a lot of money.

One home improvement project that we did to our home was to paint the outside of our home. We started out by using a power washer to remove as much of the old paint as we could. Next we took scrapers and removed the rest of the old paint. Picking out the color we wanted our house to be was a lot of fun. We decided to do the trim and the main part of the house in different colors. We spent several days with a brush to paint the entire house. We left the brick the original color, but you can paint over brick also if you want to do this. Our house looks amazing from just this little effort! Doing this project yourself can be very cheap.
