Raking leaves is a drudgery only the hardiest and braviest individuals enjoy. Raking takes a strong back and limber muscles; or at least three days of aches and pains will keep you sidelined. There is an easier way: a leaf vacuum. These little workhorses will do in an hour what might take half a day to do with a regular rake. And that’s assuming the yard is at least three-quarters of an acre.

The beauty of using a leaf vacuum is that it takes away the onerous task of bagging the collection of leaves and debris. Bagging the heavy volume of leaves, particularly in autumn when there is apt to be the most ground coverage of fallen leaves, may be as time-consuming as the job of raking.
