Outdoor propane heaters are much in demand due to their widespread acceptance.  They can be usually found in restaurants and backyard patios, and are intended for outdoor and not indoor use. Though these propane heaters can be used indoors temporarily, it is hazardous and certainly not recommended.  Outdoor type propane heaters are available in various handy sizes but you should not try shifting them, which can pose a danger.

Since the outdoor type propane heaters are portable they can be used with ease in patios, outdoor events or construction sites. They are available in various types that can produce heat by convection, infrared heating or forced air.  The versatility of these propane heaters meant for outdoors is dependent on the adjustability of output and the area covered by heating.  The fuel for these heaters is provided by LP gas cylinders.

Convection type propane heaters are placed on the floor outdoors.  They operate by drawing the heat from the bottom and releasing warm air through the top. These heaters don’t need fans to increase the heat and decrease the coldness.  These outdoor type propane heaters are used in warehouses and garages.

Infrared propane heaters for outdoors are usually used in areas like patios because they can disperse heat in the blustery environment. These heaters are equipped with reflective covering that spreads heat in their vicinity. If your requirement is heating an outdoor area of small extent, you can opt for a tank top type infrared proper heater.

Forced air heaters utilize propane and electricity to heat the outdoor area, and disperse heated air by a fast-revolving electric fan.  The heating elements are fuelled by propane.  These heaters are very fast and are used in warehouses and garages.

Outdoor type propane heaters are portable and you must take adequate safety precautions in handling them.  Many heaters will be required in public places like restaurants, and their simultaneous operation is likely to generate considerable heat.  So a distance of 6 ft. minimum should be maintained between the gas cylinders and the heaters, for safety’s sake.  The cylinders not in use may be kept aside at a distance of 20 ft. from the heater.

Ensure that the outdoor type propane heaters are kept in a position so as to avoid feet tripping over them.  As these heaters are placed on the ground, they should not be kept near the entrance/exit points where contact with the heater may occur accidentally.  Safe use of outdoor type propane heaters will let you enjoy their benefits.
