Why You May Want To Purchase a Yard Sweeper

A lawn sweeper looks a little like a manual push mower, but instead of blades to cut grass, there is instead an axle that pushes the leaves into a container. They should not be confused with lawn vacuums, which is a motorized machine that sucks up the leaves.

A push lawn sweeper requires more effort to operate than a lawn vacuum, as it is a completely manual machine. However, they are quiet, emission-free, and a better alternative to raking your lawn. Leaf blowers have even been banned in some cities due to they’re noise, and they also require fuel to run, so yard sweepers may be the a better buy for you as well as better for the environment.

Operating a yard sweeper is fairly simple, you just push the sweeper out in front of you as you walk down your lawn, they’re very light, and can also be used to clean up light snow of driveways and pathways.

Prices for a basic lawn sweeper generally start around $100 and go up depending on its size and uses. When buying a sweeper, you should buy a sweeper size that fits your yard, and that you’ll easily be able to store.

Different brands of lawn sweepers come at different prices. While you may not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a sweeper, you also don’t want one that would easily rust. One thing you can do is look online at the different lawn sweeper reviews; usually you can find helpful information about what is the best-rounded brand to have.

One example of a great lawn sweeper is the Brinly 42 inch Sweeper. It’s light, small and can be packed easily, yet it also contains a large, collapsible container to store leaves. It sweeps best while going at about 2 to 3 miles an hour, and does an excellent job at removing leaves.
